York Regional police are currently investigating a shooting that took place early Apr. 3, leaving one man injured in Vaughan, Ontario.
The incident took place at Convoy Crescent near Teston Road and Highway 400 at around 4 a.m. The victim suffered shots to his arm, head and abdomen.
While the victim suffered serious injuries, he was still able to drive and operate his car following the shooting. He drove himself to a Longos grocery store parking lot near Major Mackenzie Drive and Highway 400 where he crashed into half a dozen parked vehicles, CP24 reports.
His car had several bullet holes on the passengers side.
A witness in the parking lot called the police after the crash.
Police and paramedics arrived on the scene and the man was taken to a trauma centre. He is currently in the hospital in stable condition.
In addition to searching for the suspect involved, Police are also investigating why the victim, who is from Toronto, was in Vaughan at the time of the incident.
