On Apr. 3, Turkey lifted the the country-wide ban on Twitter after its highest courts ruled the block as a violation of freedoms, says CBC.
Turkey blocked access to the website in response to user’s posts that suggested government corruption. The government also blocked YouTube after an audio recording of a high-level security meeting was posted on the site.
The Constitution Court ordered that access to Twitter be restored on Apr.2. Turkey’s Transportation and Communications Ministry is in the process of restoring access to the website. Alternatively, YouTube remains blocked.
