The Royal Ontario Museum will begin exhibiting the history, art, and obsession surrounding tattoo culture on Apr. 2.

Over 200 objects will be on display, including prints, tools, videos, and specially commissioned silicone body parts displaying the work of 13 of the most revered tattoos artists in the world.

Previously, the exhibit received acclaim at the Quai Branly in Paris and was featured in the arts magazine HEY! Modern Art & Pop Culture.

This will be the first show at the ROM that new Director and CEO Josh Basseches will oversee.

The ROM will unveil its latest exhibition, entitled “Tattoos: Ritual. Identity. Obsession. Art” on Saturday April 2.
