“Return of Kings” gatherings cancelled amidst public backlash

Controversial American blogger Daryrush “Roosh V” Valizadeh, founder of the anti-feminist website Return of Kings, has officially cancelled a number of Feb. 6 rallies, citing his inability to guarantee the safety of their participants.

“While I can’t stop men who want to continue meeting in private groups, there will be no official Return Of Kings meetups,” he announced on his website.

Valizadeh, known for his call for the legalization of rape on private property, has recently garnered dubious attention when he publicized these gatherings in over 40 cities world-wide.

Valizadeh received public denouncement from many critics including Toronto Mayor John Tory, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi among others.

Return of Kings promotes “neomasculinity,” which values women based on their appearance and fertility.
