TDSB report aims to build safer schools

The Toronto District School Board has released a 41-point report devoted to building safer schools in the wake of the death of Grade 12 student, Hamid Aminzada.

Aminzada was stabbed multiple times while trying to break up a fight a fight at North Albion Collegiate last September. He died soon after in hospital.

Recommendations from the report include new procedures and practices for school safety, crisis response outlines and continuous hall monitor training.

The report also suggests police involvement in lockdown drills  and improved TDSB door security.
