Uof T and TAs strike a new deal

A tentative deal has been reached between the University of Toronto and Unit 1 of CUPE 3902, the union representing the teaching assistants.

The TAs will continue to walk the picket lines until the ratification vote which is scheduled for Friday March 20.

Consequently, the Scarborough rally scheduled for today will go on as planned.

News of the tentative agreement surfaced after a huge student-led protest.

Teaching and graduate assistants at York University still remain on strike.
