Chris Pratt rumoured for Indiana Jones role

Disney is eyeing Chris Pratt for the leading role in the reboot of the Indiana Jones franchise, according to some entertainment media reports.

No deal has been struck between the Guardians of the Galaxy star and Disney since development is still in its early stages.

The entertainment company bought the distribution rights to the beloved film in 2013, following its purchase of Lucas Films.

In recent years Pratt has become a significant box office pull, starring in multiple blockbuster hits including The Lego Movie.

Pratt’s upcoming roles include the highly anticipated Jurassic Park reboot, Jurassic World and the comic book adaptation Cowboy Ninja Viking.

Social media reactions to the rumoured choice are mixed, and many think a reboot to the classic franchise is unnecessary.

Time will tell if the rising star takes the leap into this legendary role.
