Woman stabbed in Scarborough Town Centre

A woman has been rushed to the hospital after being found inside Scarborough Town Centre with multiple stab wounds to her body and head.

The woman was found inside the mall near a hair salon at 7:30 p.m. Mar. 19. She is said to be in her mid 20s but her name has not been released.

EMS confirmed the woman was emitted to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The Toronto Star reports that the woman was the victim of an attempted robbery by two teenage girls.

Suspect descriptions have not been released but police have confirmed that they are looking for two females in connection to the woman’s injuries.

Police are continuing to investigate.
