Archaeologists discover mummy in Luxor

A 3600-year-old mummy has been found in the Egyptian city of Luxor by Spanish archaeologists.

It is believed that the mummy is the remains of a high official although the identity is yet to be established.

The mummy is well-preserved in a wooden sarcophagus engraved with hieroglyphs and decorated with inscriptions of birds’ feathers. 

Here are some of the most famous mummies to be discovered in the last 150 years.
