Support intensifies for cat shot 17 times

Support continues to grow for a severely injured cat found in Northeast Sarnia Feb.2.

“Phones have been ringing off the hook,” says Becky Knight of the Sarnia Humane Society.

The cat is currently in stable condition despite missing an eye and suffering 17 pellet shots to the head. He was brought to the Sarnia Humane Society by a passerby.

Donations and well-wishes are pouring in for the cat, named “Joe” by officials.

Sarnia police are searching for the offender in a joint investigation with the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
