American filmmaker Josh Kim is taking Google Glass to a new level by bringing it to places like Burma and Thailand and documenting the lives of the wearers in short video.
In Burma, Kim’s subjects include a pay phone operator, a hot air balloon pilot, a Muay Thai kickboxer, a sugarcane juice vendor, and a prosthodontist.
Kim told the Wall Street Journal that the project gives people a voice when they do not have one and empowers them in the process.
Using different video snippets from colourful places across the globe, Kim’s goal is to shed light on lifestyles that are different from the audiences’ own.
