All passengers aboard Flight MH370 that disappeared last March in the Java Sea are presumed to have died, according to an official Malaysian government statement. The crash has also been declared an accident.
Malaysia’s government said it will open up requests for compensation claims, upsetting victims’ families even more, who are still waiting for evidence of the crash.
Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai said the statement was released to enable the families to move forward, stressing it had no bearing on the search operations.
How the government could come to such a conclusion without any evidence has angered the families of those lost on that ill-fated flight.
