Poster reads: “Adams Family. Samuel Adams lost one son, who was killed while fighting for the Unionists in the American Civil War. In Oakville, his other son Jeremiah, known as “Jerry”, became a teamster for the Chisholm brothers’ mill. He married Eliza Grace Butler and they remained in Oakville, celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary when he was 97 years old. Jerry and Eliza Adams’ daughter Isabella married Benedict Duncans son Alexander Ducan, who was the organist and choirmaster at the Turner Chapel.”
