Gunmen storm Afghan city

Gunmen dressed as police officers have stormed a court complex in  the the Afghan city of Mazar-Sharif, killing 18 and wounding 67 according to unconfirmed reports.

Local media outlets are reporting that the fierce gun battle erupted in Mazar- Sharif, located north of the capital Kabul, after three armed men attacked the Provincial Appeals Court.

Gunmen exchanged fire with Afghan security forces and some reports say the attack is still going on. The appeals court office is situated next to governor Atta Mohammad Noor’s office.  

However, there are unconfirmed reports that the deadly siege has come to an end.
