Aspiro accepts Jay Z’s $56 million bid

Rap Mogul Jay Z has won a $56 million dollar bid for Swedish technology company Aspiro.

Aspiro is the company behind streaming services Tidal and WiMP that deliver streamed  music, curate recommendations and playlists and interviews that can be downloaded in a FLAC format.

Despite initial reluctance by some shareholders who owned 10 per cent of Aspiro, the Roc Nation CEO now has one less problem to worry about.

The streaming services are available in six countries in Europe with over 580,000 customers.
