Leaside knife death called accidental

An unidentified man in Leaside has died from a stab wound in his upper leg early Feb. 26.

The man, who appeared to be in his sixties, was found on a stairwell outside of a residence on Thomas Elgie Drive near Eglinton Avenue and Laird Drive with no vital signs.

He was rushed to the hospital shortly after midnight where he was pronounced dead.

Police had initially ruled the death as suspicious but are now ruling it accidental.
