City spends like “drunken sailors” Ford says

Mayor Rob Ford is none too pleased about the 2.23 per cent tax hike passed by city council Jan. 29, saying the city spends like drunken sailors.

Ford lost the vote 32 to 13.

The hike translates to an average of $56.66 per household.

The tax hike also includes a 0.5 per cent increase to fund the Scarborough subway line.
