Toronto Hindu temple robbed

Toronto Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Hindu temple in Scarborough near Kennedy Road McNicoll Avenue.

Police say the suspects are a man and woman who entered the temple around 9 p.m. Jan 12. The worshipers that were in the temple at the time were bound with zip ties and duct tape.

One victim was able to escape and immediately called emergency services. Both suspects fled the temple empty-handed.

Security camera footage of the suspects has been released. While their faces were covered, descriptions have been made. The man is described as black between 25 and 35 years old, about five feet seven inches and 150 pounds, reports CBC.

The woman is said to be white, 25 to 30 years old, five feet two inches, and 110 pounds.
