Brampton boy killed by bullet

A nine-year-old Brampton boy died Thursday after being struck by a stray bullet that came through his townhouse window late Wednesday night.

Police believe the shooter targeted the home, but the bullet may have been meant for tenants who had moved out.

He has been identified as Kesean Williams, a student at Winston Churchill Public School. The school lowered flags to half-mast and counselors were on hand to provide support for Williams’ classmates.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.  Callers can remain anonymous.
