Ontario Province Police are expressing frustration following the Feb. 5 storm that caused traffic chaos in Southern Ontario.
According to the Canadian Press police are concerned that drivers have not been heeding warnings to adjust their driving to weather conditions.
Many drivers are not slowing down and not leaving enough space for other drivers.
The storm caused dozens of crashes involving hundreds of vehicles along Ontario highways.
The 401 was closed through different sections multiple times as emergency crews had to clean up multiple vehicle accidents.
One of the worst accidents occurred eastbound on the 401 near Napanee. The crash involved about 150 vehicles, including 15 tractor trailers.
No serious injuries were reported, and several drivers were charged with careless driving.
The OPP believes that many of these accidents could have been avoided and is encouraging drivers to report any negligent driving behaviour.
