Halifax – The case against two teens facing child pornography charges after Rehtaeh Parsons committed suicide in April 2013, has been delayed until Friday. The crown attorney in the case was unable to make it to Halifax provincial court this week after being stranded at Pearson International Airport because of this week’s icy weather conditions.
The teens, who cannot be named because they were under the age of 18 at the time of the crime, have been charged with distributing child pornography, while one of them has also been charged with making child pornography. Rehtaeh Parsons committed suicide in April 2011 after a digital image of her being sexually assaulted was spread around the school that resulted in relentless bullying incidents.
