Everest College, the school known for using mainstream media outlets to publicize its institutions, has had its license to operate as a private college suspended by the Ontario government.
All 14 institutions across Ontario have been shut down, and all scheduled classes have been discontinued.
Statements being issued by the Ontario government note that the suspension was issued because of financial concerns.
The Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities says all 2,400 students who attend the college around the province will be accommodated.
In early Feb. 2015, Corinthian Colleges, Inc., the parent company of Everest College, was delisted as a public company on NASDAQ after not filing reports in a timely manner. The company was also accused of falsifying pitches and job placement information.
