Fifty Shades of Grey director Sam Taylor Johnson has announced she will not return to direct the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker.
Sam Taylor Johnson says directing Fifty Shades of Grey has been an intense and incredible journey and that she is grateful, CNN reports.
The movie is based on a best-selling book and has generated more than $50 million worldwide since its premiere in February. CNN reports that there have been creative clashes and disagreements for the sequel, Fifty Shades Darker.
Fifty Shades of Grey stars actor Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey, and actress Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele.
