Former Montreal mayor Michael Applebaum appeared in court Feb. 6 to face 14 criminal charges including conspiracy, corruption and breach of trust.
But his time in court was brief as the lawyers for his two co-accused Saulie Zajdel and Jean-Yves Bisson were not present.
Applebaum had been interim mayor for only seven months when he was forced to resign last year.
The former mayor and his two co-accused are due back in court Mar. 10.
